The name "DIG" is an abbreviation of "Digital Innovation Group" and also means "digging up and discovering a something new".

The great goal of "DIG" is to discover designs that will lead to the future, 

while uncovering not only new technologies but also ISHIMOTO's knowledge that has been cultivated over its long history.

DIGは石本建築事務所内においてデジタルテクノロジーを活用し、

分野の垣根を超えたコラボレーションや様々なソリューションを提供するグループです。

石本建築事務所では2009年よりBIMの導入・検討・活用を開始し、2020年度にDIGを発足させ、

BIMを基軸に据えたデジタルデザインと業務におけるDX推進への取り組みを提案・構築してきました。

BIM活用とDX推進により、建築設計の高度化・設計プロセスの見える化・プロジェクトコミュニケーションの円滑化など、

設計業務における顧客サービスの向上に取り組んでいます。 

DIG is a team that utilizes digital technology to collaborate with different fields

 and provide various solutions that transcend the boundaries of disciplines in Ishimoto Architectural and Engineering Firm Inc ( IAE ).

IAE, studying and utilising BIM in 2009 and launched the DIG in FY2020.

 The DIG has been proposing and building initiatives to promote digital design and DX in business operations, with BIM as a cornerstone.

Through the use of BIM and the promotion of DX, we are working to improve customer service in design work, including the sophistication of architectural design,

 visualisation of design processes and facilitation of project communication.

We aim to create new architectural and urban space values by establishing a design process that makes full use of digital design tools, 

utilizing and organizing information, visualizing design proposals, making presentations for consensus building using various technologies such as perspective, video, VR, and AR, 

and making multifaceted design proposals that transcend the boundaries between design, structure, and environment by using various simulations.
